Welcome to Wenden Elementary

Welcome to the internet home of Wenden School District. We are a small, rural district located in Wenden, Arizona, approximately 45 miles west of Wickenburg. Our town is considered the “Gateway to Alamo Lake,” providing sustenance and services to travelers along Highway 60. Our small population lets provide the one-on-one attention students need as well as have a great rapport with our parents and community. We hope you find what you are looking for here on our website. If you are ever in our area, feel free to drop in and say hello. We’d love to meet you!

A Message From Our Superintendent

Dear Parents and Students

I hope you are enjoying your summer break and that you and your family were able to spend quality time together. Remember, it doesn’t matter where you are as long as you are together.

School will be starting soon, August 12, 2024, to be exact. Ms. Donna Moleno and Mr. William Lim will be back to join our Wenden family. I hope you will be as excited as we are.

Lastly, I’d like to let parents and students know that Wenden Elementary School has eliminated early release every Thursday. The exchange for not having early release is that school will dismiss on May 29, 2025, rather than in June 2025.

Sports practices will be after school from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Parents must pick up students or provide a note indicating that students may walk home.

I miss you all and can’t wait to see you on the morning of August 12, 2024. Make the best of what’s left of your summer break!

Sincerely,

Gloria Dean
